Somerset Golf Captains arrived at Weymouth on a sunny day with a light breeze to play against Dorset Golf Captains.
After a quick phone call to say we only had 14 players, Dorset lent us a pair from Weymouth, Reg and Steve, who became honarary Somerset Captains for the day. After a light lunch, Peter Brickell (Dorset Vice Captain) introduced Simon Hetherington (Club Captain) who welcomed us all to Weymouth.
All eight matches were played in great spirits and a 4-4 result seemed fair on the day. Both captains gave their speeches and the trophy was retained by Somerset having won it the year before.

Rob Ford (Captain of Captains)and Peter Dawson played against Peter Brickell (Vice-Captain) and Simon Hetherington. An excellent day out on a very enjoyable course, but Somerset lost 5&4.Great company with a game played in a great spirit.
